Airports

The nearest major airport to the conference site is the Roanoke Regional Airport (ROA). The Roanoke Regional Airport is approximately 40 miles from the conference site. Car rentals, Taxis (rates vary from $70-100) and a Conference Shuttle are available.

Conference Shuttle A shuttle service is available for conference attendees between the Roanoke Airport and The Inn at Virginia Tech. The shuttle registration deadline has passed but if you are in need or have changes to your schedule, please contact Cortney Martin at martinc@vt.edu. Seats are $20 per person, each way ($40 round trip). The fee will be added to your lodging bill at The Inn. The shuttle will run approximately every two hours. We will confirm your reservation and the shuttle schedule by email. Transportation alternatives include: SmartWay Bus ($4): http://www.smartwaybus.com/ (Please Note: The Conference Center is not a drop-off location for the SmartWay bus; but, the SmartWay bus will get you to campus, a 10 minute walk to the Conference Center.)
