Liz Blackwell

Office Assistant

Liz Blackwell, originally from Harrisonburg, VA, has been a member of the CIDER staff since January 2010. As a senior undergrad, pursuing degrees in Chemistry and Psychology, she provides positive energy and general support to the CIDER office and staff members. She really enjoys working with and learning from the CIDER staff, where each day has the capacity to be an unusually awesome adventure.

After graduation she plans to pursue further schooling in the field of Marriage and Family Therapy, with a focus on advocacy and support for children and adolescents. She also has research interests in the area of developmental psychopathology, integrating resiliency and positive psychology into the mix. Ultimately, her curiosity for life will land her back in the world of academia as a researcher and/or teacher, possibly for good. Aside from specific research and professional aspirations, Liz values family, building relationships, and traveling to new (and old) places.
